Americans are Reevaluating Careers Amid Pandemic
A survey released by NAPFA found that nearly three-quarters (70%) of Americans are considering adding another source of income after witnessing the economic damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many Americans are completely reevaluating their careers and say because of the pandemic, they are more likely to start their own business (27%), find a new job (27%) or make a career change to an entirely new field (25%).
In addition to Americans’ experiences and reactions amid the pandemic, the NAPFA survey covered consumers’ views on financial health, professional financial planning, investing, and the economy. You can find the full results, including breakdowns by gender and generation, here.
The survey was conducted online by Atomik Research among 2,006 adults ages 22 to 64 in the United States. The fieldwork took place between January 6 and 9, 2021.
